Our Story

Maple Grove Baptist Church was founded on October 3rd, 1929. At its inception the church met at Maple Grove School house, which was own by Poinsett Lumber and Manufacturing Co.. With 12 founding members, and a Sunday school membership of 60, the church began its ministry and growth. 

In 1954, Maple Grove School consolidated with McCormick school and the church bought the building for $1000. It remains at this location to this day. 

As the community grew, so too did Maple Grove Baptist Church. By 1961, the church had outgrown its facilities and a new sanctuary was added.

With a heart to reach the lost with the Gospel, the church continued to grow. In 1982, the church once again built another sanctuary.

In an effort to remain faithful to the Gospel,
Maple Grove Baptist Church continues to reach the community of Trumann. We have a desire to share the Gospel and make disciples as commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ (Matt 28:19-20).
